My experience helps me design engaging, high-quality artifacts.

My Motivation:
My passion for lifelong learning inspired my journey into Instructional/eLearning Design and Training. I have a master degree in Computer Science and in 2017 I earned my second master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology, with a focus on Training and Performance Enhancement. Before earning that degree, I had completed multiple trainings with adult learners, developed video content for learners, created a variety of deliverables such as job aids, design documents, and an several MS Excel applications. I also developed new processes which reduced time and excessive waste as well as produced multiple testimonial videos. I enjoy leading in-person, virtual, and one-on-one training sessions that bringing flexibility and effectiveness to every learning experience.

My Background:
During my 10 years as a Systems Analyst, it afforded me the opportunity to work with an Indian based information technology (IT) company. I traveled to India to participate in the redesign of the application where I was the primary developer and subject matter expert (SME). A routine part of the job included gathering requirements, estimating costs, completing coding and all types of cross-department testing, minor project management tasks, and collaborating with management at all levels. Wile growing in this career, I have trained new team members and continued to work with cross-functional teams. Since leaving the IT field, I continued to use my programming skills to create a program to increase the graduation rate of a credit retrieval program, provided data analysis to the administration team regarding testing data, and created curriculum to assist learners to pass the math high stakes exam used by several educators in my building. I have also provided district level training to over 100 educators and created district-level artifacts used by the secondary level math educators.

I was proud to be a member of the Las Vegas chapter of Girl Develop It. Check out my spotlight!

Work/Life Balance:
I believe in paying it forward as much as I can. Chris Matakas said
"The greatest effects we have on the world are the ones we can never see."
I have given many countless volunteer hours to several organizations; including churches, food banks, shelters, hospitals, other non-profit organizations, and Habitat for Humanity.
