Problem:Have you ever tried using a composting facility? I love camping on the Freedman land, but there were no public restroom facilities available. The owner initially tried providing a camping toilet and even a toilet bucket, but unfortunately, users often left the area messy and unsanitary. To solve this, he built a compostable outhouse—but many campers didn’t know how to use it properly.
Solution: To ensure the outhouse was used correctly, two job aids were created and posted: one on the outside of the door and another on the inside. Both were laminated for durability and weather resistance. These visual guides provide clear, simple instructions to help campers understand how to use the composting toilet responsibly and maintain cleanliness for everyone.
